Most summer jobs in Chile are in tourism. In an outdoor agency you may work as a tour guide, as a supervisor for tourists or in the organization of tours. In a hostel you may be responsible for the reception and reservations.
Working hours
Working hours are generally 6 to 8 hours per day from Monday to Friday. For some jobs, however, flexibility is necessary. It may be that sometimes you have to work weekends and have a day off during the week.
Salary
Most summer jobs include free accommodation and meals. Sometimes you even get a little pocket money.
Duration and time
You can determine the duration and the time of your stay abroad yourself. Most jobs usually have a minimum duration of 2 months. Farmstays or jobs in nature parks can also be done for a few weeks only.
Spanish knowledge
The level of knowledge of Spanish needed will depend on the job you choose. You speak no Spanish or very little? No problem. In our chosen Spanish schools you will reach the required knowledge of Spanish in just a few weeks before starting your holiday work. For beginners, a minimum course duration of 6-8 weeks is recommended.
