Founding of the city 1899 by Chilean settlers. The region was discovered by Pedro de Valdivia in 1551.
Attractions The surroundings of Pucón offer especially natural highlights. The National Parks Huerquehue and Villarrica with quiet mountain lakes and araucaria forests, hot springs or the volcano Villarrica are just a few highlights in the area. A special highlight is the ascent of the volcano Villarrica (guided day tour), which is still active.
Nightlife A lot of young people all around the world come to Pucón. Especially in the summer you can enjoy lively nightlife in one of the numerous discos and bars.
Fun For outdoor enthusiasts Pucón is the location to be. In the summer the town is bursting. During the day you can swim and laze at the black volcanic beach.
